Peter is recognised for his expertise in the tax and corporate area and also regarding trusts. In recent years he has acted on a number of large business and share sale transactions where he has drafted and negotiated the agreements, advised on appropriate structuring choices, attended to applicable approval processes (including both governance approvals and regulatory approvals) and attended to financing requirements.

Peter is committed to delivering excellence at all times and focuses heavily on continuous learning and practice development as demonstrated by his authorship of a book published by CCH entitled "A Practical Guide to Tax Penalties in New Zealand" and authorship of the Takeovers section of Brookers Law and Practice. In addition he has authored numerous articles for the CCH NZ Tax Planning Reports and has been a keynote speaker at tax seminars and M & A conferences.

Outside of law he is a keen sportsman with interests in particular in cricket, golf, rugby, athletics and skiing. He is also a keen tramper and been coach of each of his 3 boys' many sports teams spanning 12 years or so.
